The news came out later Sunday that Carson Wentz suffered a knee injury against the Los Angeles Rams. The torn ACL diagnosis was confirmed on Monday, around the same time I received an email on a very cool painting of the former NDSU quarterback. The owner had an idea: how about selling the painting with funds benefitting the Red River Valley Asperger-Autism Network? The RRVAN is a 501(c)3 non-profit whose mission is to educate about, advocate for, support and empower those on the autism spectrum, their families and the community. It provides support groups, community access recreational activities, educational programs, all at no cost to families.
It’s a 25×36 air-brushed oil painting on canvas by local artist Steve Driscoll. Pretty good stuff.
So, since this is a blog, where we do funky stuff from time to time, why not? Here are the rules:
- It is a very silent auction with all confidential bids submitted to me at my email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Minimum bid is $500
- Auction closes Friday night at game time, 7 p.m. CST
- Winner will be notified Saturday, for a check in care of Red River Valley Asperger-Autism Network
