Not Northwest enough

Not Northwest enough

The Bison travel to NW LA State this coming Saturday, and they may have to shack up at the Boar’s Nest.  Oh wait, that was Pine Bluff, Arkansas, sorry.  Anyhow there are so many (turning suddenly serious here) refugees from the Hurricane looking for shelter, Craig Bohl says they’ve inundated the hotel where they were supposed to stay, so the Bison are looking for accomodations elsewhere.  Now this could turn out to be nothing big, but then again, who knows how far north they’ll have to look to find enough rooms to house 70 some people.  And oh by the way, the NW LA team looks awesome, probably ranked in top 10 by the time the new coaches poll comes out, based on their win AT Division 1-A Louisiana Monroe.  And my guess is most of the Louisiana guys remember losing to NDSU up here last year, and won’t be real welcoming.

By the way, asked Bohl today who graded out well, and the names he listed: Zimmerman (no duh), Compton (12 tackles but in a walking boot today, considered not real serious), Medal (keeps defying the experts), Babich (nice to see things going well for Bobby–been through a lot here) and Marcus Johnson (he of the sure TD pass dropping variety) Bohl says despite that one play MJ played very well.  Said the QB was pretty good, too.

No injuries otherwise, Chapman still questionable with the MCL sprain.

Jeff Kolpack’s in charge of eating arrangements in Natchitoches, so if you’re reading this from Cajun country please feel free to help a brother out, and let JK know where to grab grub.  We’re trusting him, until he lets us down.  Then we let him sleep in the car.
