It appears the Bison fans who made the trip to Frisco last weekend despite their team not being in the national title game were well received, which is what you would probably expect considering the local knowledge and reputation the fan base has in the northern suburb of Dallas. Here is a piece from an interesting old school college-sounding website on how Bison fans acted at the JMU and Youngstown game.
Moreover, I got the following in my email inbox this morning from Gerry Comer of Elkton, Va.:
I just wanted to pass along my congratulations to the North Dakota State Fans
that made the trip to Frisco , Texas for the FCS Football Championship. I
spoke with many either in town, the stadium, or at our hotel, and they were
some of the classiest, most friendly people I have met in a long time. To
come to Texas when your team is not playing and be so generous and grateful,
was amazing. I hope you can pass this along to the team, school, etc. It is
something you all should be proud of. It was truly a pleasure and I hope for
continued success of the football team. By the way, I am a JMU Alumni.
