The dynasty is over. North Dakota State’s run of five consecutive national championships ended Friday night at the Fargodome after James Madison defeated the Bison, 27-17.

Dukes running back Khalid Abdullah was sensational, racking up 180 rushing yards in leading the Dukes offense.

NDSU fell behind 17-0 in the 2nd quarter, rallied to tie the game in the third, but couldn’t muster any big plays on offense after that.

JMU will play for its second national championship on January 7th against the winner of Youngstown State and Eastern Washington.

On a personal note, a thank you to everyone that watched our pre and postgame video blogs and our coverage this year.

It’s a joy to connect with our viewers and readers and this season was no exception.
