Dom’s 2017 FCS Poll – Thru Week 2

Dom’s 2017 FCS Poll – Thru Week 2

Two weeks of this FCS season are in the books and it seems the cream is rising to the top. The Missouri Valley and the Colonial are seemingly pulling away from the rest of the division, with the top half of each league each getting FBS wins over the weekend. The count stands at six total so far this year for FCS over FBS wins. Week 3 presents some interesting matchups, highlighted by UND traveling to USD and Richmond hosting a surprising Howard team, as Kolpack noted coached by former Spider head man Mike London.

    Dom,
curious how you can legitimately have Sam Houston State at number 4 after giving up 31 points and 500 yards of offense to Prairie View A&M? I know they also beat Richmond in a shootout with defense being optional. Looking forward to your rationale on that…

The Richmond win is first legitimate non-conference win for that school in a while. Gives them some slack, despite them not playing well on the road Thursday at Prairie View. They’re 4 in my mind, but not a confident four.
