2018 FCS Bracketology: 1.0

2018 FCS Bracketology: 1.0

The 2018 FCS season kicks off this weekend with three games on the schedule, but only one FCS vs FCS matchup, that’s the former “exalted” kickoff game between North Carolina A&T and Jacksonville State Saturday night on ESPN. Over the last two years I have done one of these mostly for posterity and to laugh at. The joke was on me earlier on last year after my preseason Big Sky pick Cal Poly flamed out on opening weekend, en route to a 1-10 season. You can look at 2016 and 2017’s picks here. I will do another one of these late in September, then continue into October, ending with our bracketology show on the final Saturday of the regular season.

There’s a couple of notes for those that don’t know, there are 10 automatic bids and 14 at-large bids. Teams CANNOT play each other in the first round if they played in the regular UNLESS they are not in the same conference (look at San Diego-Cal Poly in ’16 and Kennesaw-Samford last year).  My bracket is at the bottom of this post.
