2013 Countdown: #68

Today’s stat on the countdown is a look towards the future; this is a huge weekend for NDSU recruiting as the individual camp wraps up today where over the past years the Bison have feasted on recruits that have come to their camps and have an early start for 2014; by my knowledge the earliest verbal over the past few years; last year the first recruits came in in mid-July.

Countdown To 2013: NerdStat #68:

  • 1: That number signifies the first member of the 2014 class in Jalen Allison; a 6’0, 160 pound cornerback from Omaha, Nebraska; courtesy of Papillion Lavista High School; same school that produced 2013 recruit Tyler Wrice. Allison is a speedster; he was a member of the Nebraska state record setting 400 relay team that broke a old state record last month. Allison becomes another recruit out of Nebraska that has become Steve Stanard’s territory and that makes sense for a former Husker to make that his backyard; NDSU has found some true gems out of Nebraska; look no further than Christian Dudzik and Kyle Emanuel.
